Mahindra Thar is the off roading jeep from Mahindra for all those who love pushing their SUVs to the limits. Mahindra Thar looks like the old classic Jeep which used to come with rounded headlights and signature vertical grille but this one comes with a new Advanced CRDe engine, new independent suspension for better off roading capabilities and Drive by Wire technology for precise throttle response which is also available on its latest SUV Mahindra XUV 500
Mahindra Thar comes with BorgWarner 4WD system for superior all weather and terrain traction. To keep this monster on steroids under control Mahindra Thar is fitted with powerful 9 inch booster disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear. For extended durability the body is build of steel.
Mahindra Thar now comes with factory fitted AC (like its very popular SUV Scorpio) and heater for convenient driving and off roading in harsh Indian conditions. For easy maneuverability the Thar comes with power steering and short turning radius of 5.25 m. Also Mahindra Thar comes with engine immobilizer for enhanced security.
