HTC Desire S
HTC Desire S is the next version of highly popular HTC Desire. Although changes in Desire S are minor when compared to HTC Desire but you can easily distinguish between the two.
HTC Desire S has now the touch sensitive capacitive keys where the HTC Desire had physical keys along with the optical track pad. New HTC Desire is slightly lighter and slimmer than previous version.
Rest of the features on Desire S are more or less same as that of HTC Desire. The display is same 3.7 inch Super Clear LCD capacitive touch screen with 480 x 800 pixels.
The RAM is increased from 576 MB to 768 MB along with 1.1 GB of internal storage. The phone supports 32 GB of external memory through microSD card. The camera is same 5 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash.
The battery capacity has been enhanced by 50 mAh and now stands at 1450 mAh. Although this increase in battery capacity does not have any impact on the talk time and standby time. The processor is same 1 GHz scorpion with dedicated Adreno GPU.
In our HTC Desire S review we found the biggest differentiators is its OS Android v2.3 which is also upgradable to 4.x Icre Cream Sandwich.
We believe both HTC Desire and HTC Desire S are excellent phones and are better than Sony Ericsson Neo, Nokia Lumia and Samsung Omnia. Go for HTC Desire S if you are looking for Android v2.3 else you can go for HTC Desire.
